Areas of Expertise
Our people and equipment are there to do all things metal. Whether it be bending, rolling, shearing, forming, punching, nibbling, or custom duct work - KAD can get it done for you. Bending and shearing of sheets up to 10’ wide in 1/4” thickness. Rolling plate up to 5’ wide. We can also roll structural shapes in-house. We use highly advanced software for our layouts, and we can fabricate incredibly complex sheet metal parts with ease.
Flat sheet Laser cutting
Laser cutting is our newest addition to our in-house capabilities. While the machinery is relatively new at KAD, the expertise and knowledge surrounding laser cutting is vast. We use industry leading software to layout and process even the most complex parts. With cutting edge scheduling software, we can nest your components with others on one sheet, both saving time and reducing cost. We can even add laser marking during the cutting process.
Our welders have countless years of experience welding a wide variety of metals for numerous industries. Whether it’s going in a clean food processing plant, a greasy industrial machine, or in your home, we have the people, machines and know-how to accomplish the task. We weld in-house and on-site as the project dictates. Broke a unique cast-iron part? We can help. Need an aluminum chassis welded? No problem. Bring your welding problem to us to solve.
reverse engineering and design
Often times KAD is called on-site to look at an existing piece of equipment that needs to be duplicated, repaired, or replaced. Sometimes that equipment has been customized or even fabricated without documentation. Our highly experienced staff can assist with the reverse engineering of your equipment and provide CAD services to create a model and drawing package that can be used to produce parts, or the whole assembly. Of course, we are always happy to offer a competitive fabrication quote for all designed parts.
Our machine shop has an assortment of equipment to suit most machining operations. Our machinists are industry veterans and have a passion for what they do. Our milling, turning and grinding equipment has been selected to support our shop and customer’s needs. For applications that can’t be performed in-house, we have a select group of partner shops we work closely with to make sure all aspects of your machined parts are exactly as you expect them.
Sometimes your project will require a service that KAD does not perform in-house. Powder coating, sand-blasting, chrome plating, heat-treating to name a few. Our partner vendors have been selected based on their excellent reputation and proven track record for reliability and professionalism. If we can’t do it, we know who can.
